Counseling and Wellness: Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
What is EAP?
Sometimes we need help coping with problems in our lives. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides the opportunity for short-term, confidential, professional counseling for you and your dependents.
| Parents of teenagers: If you have a teenage son or daughter, let them know that they are eligible for confidential counselling as your dependent under the EAP program. They can access counsellors without having to get your consent or permission by calling 1-800-268-5211 (In confidence, they will need to provide the plan member’s name and the employer’s name: Lutheran Church Canada). |
Professional Counseling
The professional counseling network is made up of experienced Counselors, Psychologists, Social Workers and Specialists who are ready to assist in issues such as:
- stress;
- relational matters (marital, parenting and eldercare concerns);
- depression and anxiety;
- financial concerns;
- legal issues;
- crisis/trauma; and
- drug and alcohol abuse.

WorkLife Solutions
WorkLife Solutions offer a suite of confidential advisory services that assist employees and their family members in balancing work/life issues. Professional WorkLife Specialists provide telephone assessments, consultations, resources, and advice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Packaged information, educational material, website listings and books may also be available to the employee after the initial assessment.
